We are a conservative Southern Baptist Church that believes in living by the 
inerrant Word of God. We desire to reach the lost, hurting, and confused with 
the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to place all Christians into ministry. We are casual 
in attire and passionate in our worship of almighty God. If you live in and around 
Mesquite, TX come check us out. Baptist or not we believe you will have a great time 
with God while in attendance with us.

A Little Church History 

Town East Baptist Church began as a mission of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church on August 7, 1960 
in a local Mesquite home. Town East Baptist moved to its current location on January 4, 1962 and 
was constituted into a church on September 16, 1962 with 253 members. Since its inception, 
Town East Baptist has been served by eight pastors. Bro. Rudy Bouland served as mission pastor 
from August 7, 1960 until November 1, 1961. Bro. Berl Cavin served as the church's first pastor. 
The other pastors who have left their mark on TEBC and the community are Bro. Bob Colton, 
Bro. John Beard, Bro. Arville Senter, Bro. Jim Byrd, and Bro. Ken Brownd. Our current pastor, 
Bro. Bobby Deets, has served since answering God's Call on August 27, 2000.
